Meow

Jack finally said his first word that meant something: kitty. Pretty fitting considering he follows Sydney everywhere, tackles him and then rests his head on Syd's side multiple times a day. Don't worry, Syd loves it!

Thanksgiving -- Long Overdue!!

Our Thanksgiving holiday was wonderful! We headed to Greensboro Saturday before the holiday. The drive went better than expected - but is still really really long! We were on the road for a little over 10 hours, arriving just after 9 pm. The next day, it felt like we were jet-lagged! Thank goodness we were on vacation so that we could catch up on sleep. We ended up doing all sorts of fun things. Natural Science Center This center is just across the street from my Mom's house. It has many neat exhibits and a newly renovated zoo. We took Jack to check out the animals. He saw meerkats, tortoises, different monkeys, big wolves, and, the big attraction, tigers. Jack's favorite thing was the water feature. He could walk around and around each fountain and splash in the puddles. There is a petting zoo as well - Jack met goats and sheep. UNC Basketball Game Tuesday afternoon, Connie, one of mom's friends, offered us tickets to that evening's UNC game in Chapel Hill. Of...

Halloween Pictures...finally!

Ok, this is probably the most out of date post...regardless, more Halloween pictures are below. Jack accepted the costume, but didn't love it, especially when we put the part on his head. The last two are from the Pre-Halloween playdate for Jack and his friends. I love how all the other kids have these sweet costumes and our little man is a hotdog! Oh well! Maybe next year, he'll have an opinion.

The Hungry Hot Dog

I need to post all of our pictures from Halloween. For now, I'm sharing one that a friend took at our little gathering because it's too cute to wait!

New Tricks

Four times is the Trick!

Quick note to say that Jack finally has his full 12 month vaccinations!! It only took four separate trips to the doctors office across two months. He received the final three vaccines and the flu shot yesterday afternoon. It wasn't fun, but it was over quick. He recovered in about 10 minutes. It's too bad he doesn't like sweets, I would have definitely given him a cookie or sucker or something to make it better!

Fatherhood

This evening, Jack woke up crying after being asleep for about 2 hours. Justin went in to check on him. He picked him up, but Jack just squirmed to get out of his arms. So, Justin put Jack back in the crib. Before leaving, Justin decided to check Jack's diaper with a smell test. He leaned over for a close up sniff... ...right as Jack let's a big one rip!! Ah fatherhood.
