This Weekend's Lessons

This weekend taught Justin and me a few things. 1. Dyson makes awesome vacuum cleaners. We finally broke down and bought one. It rocks! 2. Kitties don't like being locked up without their litter box. 3. There is a product called the "Urine Finder" and our neighbors have one. 4. Being hydrated can reduce and stop contractions. 5. Justin can run a 7 minute mile! 6. Buy Buy Baby doesn't make the smartest packaging decisions. 7. Bacon and bread pudding = yummy goodness 8. At 7 months pregnant, I should just take the elevator. 9. We have a lot to organize before the baby arrives.

Atlanta Shower

The weekend of June 5-7, Justin and I headed back to Atlanta. This was our last planned trip prior to the baby's arrival. The visit went as most others do - arriving Thursday night, El Torero Friday night, seeing friends on Saturday, heading back out on Sunday. El Torero didn't let us down. It's the best order by number Mexican we've found. I personally can't wait to have a margarita in a couple of months!! On Saturday, Rachel hosted a Shower BBQ for us. The idea was to hold an event that both guys and girls would enjoy. I think Rachel pulled it off! The majority of the day was spent catching up with everyone. We quickly covered through the shower activities inside. Thanks everyone for the great gifts, the interesting baby names, and most importantly coming to celebrate with us! We had a great time - it was so fun to see everyone. We're looking forward to seeing everyone later this summer once the little one has arrived. I've posted pictures below. Friends f

For Justin and I, it was advanced parental training courtesy of Julia and Connor.  The tour of NYC pizza from Rigaletto's Central Park - playground Times Square at night Toys R Us - probably the biggest hit, Julia, Connor, Jay and Justin rode the ferris wheel in the store M&M Store Statue of Liberty (via the Staten Island Ferry) World Trade Center location - though all of the viewing locations are closed so it's difficult to see the building progress and to grasp the size of the area PBJ Company for sandwiches Washington Square Park - ate lunch and watched some kids perform - they rolled out an upright piano and had the necessary boards for tap dance. It was impressive. Google NYC - spent time in the play room  (check out the video of Justin) Canal Street - Justin and Jay took a de
