New Style

Justin had a mullet at some point. I had a boy's haircut until I was four (sorry Mom, but it's true). Jack's testing out the Mohawk. And an action shot:

Forward Motion

Jack finally figured out that rolling is not the most efficient way to get from point a to point b. He's now crawling!!! We're so excited, proud...and a bit terrified! It's not elegant or so smooth - there is the occasional knocking of the noggin'! He generally bounces right back again. Here's a short video of Jack in action. As he perfects crawling, he's also working on the next step - standing and cruising. He's changing so fast, I'm sure these next steps will be here quickly.

Flirting

Jack flashes this smile at whomever he can - particularly the ladies!

Wild (ancient) things

This is a non-Jack post - other than the fact that he was with me at the time. Yesterday, we were hanging out by the Natural History Museum. A couple were giving their tortoise (or perhaps turtle) a little exercise. To be quite honest, this thing moved much quicker than I expected. Not your normal NYC sighting - but then, what is a normal NYC sighting. :)

One more notch

We lowered Jack's mattress one more notch last night. He seems so far down now! It was the right call though. When we put him in the crib, he immediately pulled himself up to standing. He's growing up so fast!

Space

One of the many parent/baby oriented emails I subscribe to promoted this product in a recent email:   http://www.incredibeds.com Clearly the product designer has only seen 3000 sq ft + suburban homes. This thing would completely fill Jack's room!
