Wild (ancient) things

This is a non-Jack post - other than the fact that he was with me at the time.

Yesterday, we were hanging out by the Natural History Museum. A couple were giving their tortoise (or perhaps turtle) a little exercise.

To be quite honest, this thing moved much quicker than I expected.

Not your normal NYC sighting - but then, what is a normal NYC sighting. :)

School Projects

Jack has a school project due this Friday. The project is to visit a specific historic landmark in the city and then put together a write-up about the visit and place. Jack's location is Hamilton Grange which was the country home of Alexander Hamilton. We visited a few weeks ago (yep, we've have the assignment this long). Finally, Jack started putting together the project today. OMG, it was like watching me from 30 years ago. There was denial and defensiveness, then came tears and finally he produced really good work. If this is what the next 15 years are going to be like, we are in trouble. Also - sorry Mom, I know I tortured you with this experience many many times.
