Ladies Man

Spence is already working his MacFarlane charm. Last night, he wooed two older women: Niamh and Imy!

Spencer's First Hair Cut

We took him to a kids salon with Jeeps for seats. Spence was completely unfazed by the process. I'm not sure he realized his hair was being cut as he played with the steering wheel, drank bubble mix, and hugged Elmo. :) Getting my hair cut was hard work!

Wanda cars

Jack has a keen interest in car makes. This started over the summer when Justin took him to the beach. When they arrived at their hotel, there were four other cars just like ours. Jack exclaimed "look Dada! four our cars!" Starting then, Jack pointed out every car like ours (make and model). This expanded to be any car of the same make. Now, he knows "our car", "grandma's car", "mommy's old car", and "Mimi's car". Over Thanksgiving, we were driving in "mommy's old car" which is a Honda. Jack learned the name Honda, but quickly switched this with the name "Wanda" (one his Grandma's). Now, when Jack sees Honda, he calls out "Look! A Wanda Car!".

Paris

Justin had a quick trip to Paris this week. He told Jack that he was going to see Gaspard & Lisa's house. Gaspard and Lisa is a cartoon on Disney Jr based in Paris. I printed the picture Justin sent for Jack. He loves it!

Loyalty

Jack went to Carson's, one of his good friends, birthday party this weekend. Another good friend, Jake was there too. The party was held at Chelsea Piers - on the first day that the facility reopened following Hurricane Sandy. The place was awesome - great gym and lots of room. The kids had a blast. The party was construction themed with toy trucks decorating the table where the kids ate pizza and had cake. All the kids were particularly keen to play with one of the toys, a digger. Towards the end of the party, Jack's friend Jake had it. A little boy, who was slightly older than Jake, was across the table demanding the toy. Jake stared at him blankly refusing to give him the toy regardless of his pleas (this same boy had been unwilling to share with Jake earlier.). After a few minutes, Jack calmly asked for the toy. Jake looked at him, and easily slid it over to Jack. Could not have been more calculated! Jake's mom and I had to walk away it was so funny.
