Big Fish

In the last few weeks, Jack has really turned the corner with swimming. Earlier this year, he was very hesitant in the water. He took a while to get in, was very afraid of going under and didn't want to swim by himself. Since our trip to Connecticut, where he swam with Olivia and Andrew and since starting camp, where he has swim lessons twice a week, he's practically a fish. He jumps in (someone still needs to be there to catch him, but this is much much better than essentially pulling him off the side), he swims on his own using a noodle, and he puts his face in the water.

It's amazing what he learns when he's not around us! ;)

Now to work on Spencer....

Spencer Time

A few recent pictures of Spencer. He is growing like crazy and picking up all sorts of new skills like grabbing toys on the playmat, grabbing blankets or clothes and shoving them in his mouth, and his new favorite pastime, putting his feet in his mouth (with or without socks!).     Learning all the tricks on his first flight. We lucked out and got an extra seat for his carseat (ok, I lucked out, but still...)  Sleepy times with Grandma    Enjoying a new toy!   Such a big boy

Called up

This weekend, the t-ball team was short a few players. Spencer was called up from the practice team to fill in. He was one of the smallest on the field, but played well, even teaming up with Jack for an out!

3 Perfect Innings

Jack pitched for the Bluebirds today. He started and pitched three full innings. He faced 9 batters and got 9 outs. Not a bad start.
