The Rockaways

A few weeks ago, Justin took Jack out to the Rockaways for a day of fun in the sun! It was a fantastic day - here's the story from Justin.... The morning started with one of Jack's favorite activities: taking public transportation. They took the subway down to Wall St, then walked over to Pier 11. Jack talked the entire time and was so excited to see all of the ferries coming and going from the pier. They caught the SeaStreak ferry which goes between Wall St and the Rockaways. The ride includes great views of the lower Manhattan skyline, the Statue of Liberty, and Governor's Island. It also passes under the Verazano bridge and by Coney Island. So much for a little boy to take in! After they arrived at the Rockaways, they went to Mike's (one of Justin's friends and colleagues) where they met Mike's family. Sarah is his youngest (6 years old) and became Jack's playmate for the day. They played with lots of cars and toys and even jumped on a trampoline. M
