"I'm turning 3! I'm turning 3! I'm turning 3!"

Spencer's birthday was June 1st. He was so excited (as we all were - well, except for those of us who were wondering how three years have passed!)

A few highlights

1. Balloons - we had picked up balloons on Saturday, a day before his party. When we got home with them, he grabbed the ribbons and started jumping and cheering "I'm turning 3! I'm turning 3! I'm turning 3!" It was pure joy!!

2. 5 Little Monkeys - This song is the class anthem for Spencer's 2's club class. All the kids absolutely love it. While the team was setting up for Spencer's party, I asked if they could find this song. They did and the results were amazing - picture 14 3 year olds jumping and dancing altogether. It was like Justin at a White Snake concert.

3. Dancing = Jumping. Pretty straightforward when you're 3.

4. Blowing out candles his way.

5. Napping. Because you're three and you can.

6. Having a great time!

Showing off is "3" t-shirt!

Almost everyone!

  1. Come on - how cute is the isolated candle blowout trick. I'll try that next time and it will take a little over half a minute if I average 1 second/candle. He's the cutest!

  2. How on earth is he 3 already!?!? Those videos were adorable. I love how kids equate dancing to jumping. Hilarious!

School Projects

Jack has a school project due this Friday. The project is to visit a specific historic landmark in the city and then put together a write-up about the visit and place. Jack's location is Hamilton Grange which was the country home of Alexander Hamilton. We visited a few weeks ago (yep, we've have the assignment this long). Finally, Jack started putting together the project today. OMG, it was like watching me from 30 years ago. There was denial and defensiveness, then came tears and finally he produced really good work. If this is what the next 15 years are going to be like, we are in trouble. Also - sorry Mom, I know I tortured you with this experience many many times.
