New Tricks

Four times is the Trick!

Quick note to say that Jack finally has his full 12 month vaccinations!! It only took four separate trips to the doctors office across two months. He received the final three vaccines and the flu shot yesterday afternoon. It wasn't fun, but it was over quick. He recovered in about 10 minutes. It's too bad he doesn't like sweets, I would have definitely given him a cookie or sucker or something to make it better!

This evening, Jack woke up crying after being asleep for about 2 hours. Justin went in to check on him. He picked him up, but Jack just squirmed to get out of his arms. So, Justin put Jack back in the crib. Before leaving, Justin decided to check Jack's diaper with a smell test. He leaned over for a close up sniff... ...right as Jack let's a big one rip!! Ah fatherhood.

It was very fun to see Jack interact with the other little ones. In fact, Jack got his first kiss from Niamh at the beginning of the party. Jack seemed to really enjoy the presents - the tissue paper and bags were so much fun and then the toys were a better treat. He did NOT like the singing part and had nothing to do with his cake. Massachusetts Party The next weekend, we headed to Massachusetts where Linda and Billy (Mimi and Poppy) hosted another party. Friends that we haven't s...

The Day Our Life Changed

...for the immeasurably better! One year ago, we were in the hospital wondering how everything was going to play out. We were coaxing our little guy out. Without that I think he would have stayed in there for a few more weeks and several more pounds! Little did we know that we said goodbye to life as we knew it when we entered the hospital and that we greeted our new life as we exited. More to come tomorrow!
