Little Sister? Little Brother?

This morning, we had the anatomy scan for baby on the way. Everything looks good and appears to be developing normally. To continue to buck popular trend, we decided not to find out the gender. Hey - we'll know in a 4.5 months right? If we can handle the suspense, so can you! ;) Profile shot:   A few other shots here .

Toes

I realized that I can no longer see my toes when I look straight down. I have to lean forward a bit to see them. In case you're wondering what I'm talking about: we're expecting our second little one! He/she is due on May 29th.

NYC Blizzard

After last week's blizzard, we took Jack to Central Park to go sledding for the first time. The snow was perfect and deep! Jack loved the sledding part...and pretty much hated everything else: being pull back up the hill, waiting to sled again, standing in the snow...all were met with crying. Then smiles again when he was placed back in the sled. Here's a quick video of one of his runs. A few more photos from the snow Pulling Jack back up the hill. The only gloves we could keep on his hands were mine.  Hence the Edward Scissorshands look. Getting happier after sledding. A fabulous example of the top-notch snow removal after the blizzard on 70th. This garbage truck is equipped with a plow. However, it is stuck in the snow and hit a parked car.

Lincoln Center

Meow

Jack finally said his first word that meant something: kitty. Pretty fitting considering he follows Sydney everywhere, tackles him and then rests his head on Syd's side multiple times a day. Don't worry, Syd loves it!

Thanksgiving -- Long Overdue!!

Our Thanksgiving holiday was wonderful! We headed to Greensboro Saturday before the holiday. The drive went better than expected - but is still really really long! We were on the road for a little over 10 hours, arriving just after 9 pm. The next day, it felt like we were jet-lagged! Thank goodness we were on vacation so that we could catch up on sleep. We ended up doing all sorts of fun things. Natural Science Center This center is just across the street from my Mom's house. It has many neat exhibits and a newly renovated zoo. We took Jack to check out the animals. He saw meerkats, tortoises, different monkeys, big wolves, and, the big attraction, tigers. Jack's favorite thing was the water feature. He could walk around and around each fountain and splash in the puddles. There is a petting zoo as well - Jack met goats and sheep. UNC Basketball Game Tuesday afternoon, Connie, one of mom's friends, offered us tickets to that evening's UNC game in Chapel Hill. Of...

Halloween Pictures...finally!

Ok, this is probably the most out of date post...regardless, more Halloween pictures are below. Jack accepted the costume, but didn't love it, especially when we put the part on his head. The last two are from the Pre-Halloween playdate for Jack and his friends. I love how all the other kids have these sweet costumes and our little man is a hotdog! Oh well! Maybe next year, he'll have an opinion.
