"Not much"

Whenever someone asks "what's going on", my usual response is "not much". I could have a thousand things with looming deadlines and this would still be my answer which is why it's a fitting title to this post. Our little family has been quite busy over the last month. Not really a great excuse for the lack of posts, but it's what I'm going with. First, travel We've had the good fortune of seeing all sorts of friends and family. For those that we missed, hopefully we'll see you soon. Rachel's Girls' Weekend - in mid-March, the fam traveled back to Atlanta to see friends, check on the house, and so that I could join Rachel, Emily, and Erin in a day of relaxation. The trip was good fun! Great to see everyone and to celebrate Rachel before her wedding. Katie and Brian's Shower - Jack and I returned to Atlanta in early April to celebrate the impending arrival of Baby Emma Katherine Foley! The shower was lots of fun. Katie has d...

Photogenic

Recently, I received an email offering a free photo session and free 8x10 at a local photography studio. I thought that this would be a great opportunity to get a few professional photos of our family. The results are pretty good! Swimmin' and Swingin'

This weekend, Jack enjoyed both swinging and swimming. This video is from Friday afternoon. It was unseasonably warm, so we all headed to Central Park in to enjoy being outdoors. Jack had been in the swing before, so this was just time to hang. I love how relaxed he looks. On Saturday, Jack went to his second swim lesson. He loved it just as much as the first time - kicking, smiling, and splashing the whole time. Fortunately, there was a new baby there, so Jack wasn't the baldest. :) I'm sharing pictures even though I know I look ridiculous in my swim cap! Swimming is fun - but it wore Jack out. The little guy conked out while sitting up in his stroller on the way home!

Riding High

Justin and Jack have a new fun game: Justin bounces Jack on his knee and Jack makes funny noises. He gets a kick out of his voice - from this funny vibration to quick shouts. He is going to be one loud kid.

Up Time

Jack has been holding himself in a seated position for about two weeks. He's not able to pull himself up yet, but he's working on it. He's also perfecting rolling around to get to whatever toys he's after. Cute stuff.

Swimming!

Today was Jack's first swim lesson at the Y. Jack seemed to really enjoy it. He took right to the water. When I held him on his belly, he kicked his legs. When I held him to float on his back, he relaxed and just went with it. It was so fun!! Here is our little guppy with his Nemo swim trunks before we hit the pool.

Update Time

I feel like we've been really busy, but then don't remember what we've done! Oh well!! Here's a recap of the last few weeks. Linda and Billy Visit NYC The last weekend in January, Linda and Billy came for a quick visit. Unfortunately, the visit was quicker than anticipated; however, we were able to fit in lots of pasta, wine, and a some cute pictures. Six Months! Jack turned 6 months old on February 12th. Can't believe that it's been six amazing months! We fall more in love with him every day. Valentine's Day Justin, Jack and I headed to Leominster to visit family. Jack was able to spend some quality time with his cousins. Justin and I had a blast at dinner with Cristine & Jay and Kelly & Pete. I don't think we've laughed that much in a while. My favorite moment was when Justin finally realized that it was Valentine's day! Judy Visits NYC The next weekend, Judy came for a visit. She hadn't seen Jack in a couple of mon...
